Following his win in the cycling time
trial today, Bradley Wiggins has joined the list of people to replace
the ailing Felipe Massa at Ferrari. The 32 year old became the first
British man to win the Very Long Bike Ride, or the Tour De Bicyclists
as its more commonly known, earlier this year, fending off stiff
competition from the Dutch, who being Dutch would have been high as
kites for the majority of the ride.
Ferrari boss Stefano Domicalli fuelled
the fire by saying 'For sure, he's a good rider and for sure he's a
very fast man so he would be perfect for Ferrari'. I asked Gary
Anderson what he thought about these rumours and he said 'Hurdy gurdy
nerdy Guinness' before we lost him to a screaming V8 because his
microphone is shit.
Felipe Massa's dad responded to the
news by waving his arms around in the air like a five year old, while
Felipe Massa went into a dark room and hasn't come out since.
Speaking to the BBC, Wiggins had this to say: 'Well I'm very
flattered to have these suggestions. I like riding quickly and a
Ferrari is quite quick. I'd only do it if my Team Sky team-mates
could join me though'. He was last seen heading in the direction of
Fernando Alonso's house with a death threat. Meanwhile the BBC
executives were fuming at someone mentioning their rival broadcaster
live on air.
I will of course bring you more news as
when I get it.
